Finally here!!

I just wanted to update all my blog readers(both of you) that we are here!! It has been a long journey and my family is awesome! Our first day we got up early and left by 4am. We traveled almost 15 hours before stopping for the night. The kids were great and didn't complain(mostly)! We stopped in Kettleman and then got up this morning and headed on to Indio, an additional 6 hours or so! There is a huge fire burning somewhere here in California and the sky was hazy with smoke from the OR/CA border most of the way here, making it hard to see very far. It was a long couple days, but we are here and it is beautiful! It was about 108 this afternoon and I am so grateful for the invention of AC. Our room is lovely with plenty of room for all and the resort is incredible with several pools, a wonderful game room, a lazy river, several wading pools for little ones and a pizza place on site that delivers. There isn't a lot nearby, but the resort did a very good job of having enough to do that you wouldn't really need to leave the resort. After relaxing and letting the sun set we ventured out to the pool area and had a great time playing the very warm water till after dark!!
