Pine Wood Derby

Joseph participated in his first Pine Wood Derby at scouts this month.  We went as a family and cheered him on!  He had fun designing, watching dad carve, and then painting his car.  He loves scouts so much and it is fun to watch his excitement over everything they do as a pack!

Just a little Late, Joseph is Eight!!

Joseph turned 8 on April 22nd. The post is a little late, but we had a great time celebrating, so I just had to post our fun photos.

We had a party for him the Saturday following his Birthday.  It was a minecraft themed party since that is the game Joseph is really into right now.   Five of his buddies came and they had a great time playing games, doing crafts and flying kites!  The weather was perfect and the kids were all very nice!

We had some Minecraft song videos playing on the computer while they were making their masks, the kids were mesmerized!

Heise Hot Springs

We spent Memorial Day at Heise Hot Springs with the Conser family!  It was fun!  The weather did not get terribly warm, in fact I think it maybe got up to 70, but we still enjoyed the experience.  We started in the hot, hot pool which is a constant 104 degrees and then went to the warm pool, 94 degrees. Both pools are heated by the Earth and has a light sulfur smell, but felt sooo good1 Eventually we got hungry and got some pizza from the local pizza spot there on site.  After that we went to the cool pool, which is normally 85 but was only 75 since it was opening weekend and it had just been filled. Annalina and I spent a lot of time in that pool. We liked that it was 10 feet deep and there was a diving board. She jumped off of it a lot!  They have a 350 foot water slide, but Jeremy was the only one to brave it this time.  The littles said maybe if its hotter next time they would go down the slide.  The water in the slide was very cold, according to Jeremy!

The Cousins Are Here, The Cousins Are Here!!

Megan and her family got here Thursday night.  The kids have had a blast playing outside together, sleeping in one big room together, eating together...well you get the point.  One highlight so far was Friday night we went to the Drive-In movies and saw Epic and the new Star Trek movie!  It was fun, although we did not get home until about 2am.  The next day we went to the Splash Park and then to Pizza Pie Cafe, where I swear the kids all ate their weight in pizza!  Fun times with the Conser family!!
