A Day In Astoria

Monday morning we got up and headed into Astoria for the day. First we went to the Astoria Column. Joseph was brave enough to climb to the top with Richard, but Annalina was not feeling comfortable with that, so I stayed below with her. We had fun looking around and when the guys got to the top, they hollered down to us! It was fun.

My sweet kiddos!

Next we wanted to ride the trolley down the water front but got to the stop a couple minutes too late so we followed our ears to the docks that were covered with California Sea Lions. They were VERY loud and funny to watch. A couple times boaters chased them off, but they always came right back!
Next we waited for the trolley and took the hour long tour of the waterfront. The conductors told us all about the famous movies places, such as the Goonies house and the school from Kindergarten Cop. They also explained a lot of the history of Astoria. It was fun and we learned a lot!
It was a little breezy by the Columbia but when I took Joseph back to the van to get his coat, it was not there, just his warm winter hat. So he wore it!!
