Beach Day

We got to Fort Stevens on Wednesday and Thursday was supposed to be THE only nice day that week, so we headed over for some fun in the sun! Joseph loved climbing all over the Peter Iredale shipwreck. As a Mom, I got a bit nervous at first with all that rust, but the kids are up to date on their shots and we tried to be really careful!

My Beach Bum!

There was a lot of sand play, digging giant pits and watching it fill with ocean water. Also as always the ocean was a big draw, the kids LOVED playing in the water. It was so nice out, mid 70's with pure sun shining down on us, that I went out with them a few times! It was SO cold, but once the numbness sets in, the fun begins!

The kids made a new friend and I got to talk to him mom for quite a while. That was nice!

It was windy on the beach, but in a really nice way. Richard flew several different kites!
