Whip Cream Dyed Easter Eggs

Saturday was an amazing day!  We helped our neighbors move...to the house next door.  Funniest move I have ever helped with, but I am glad my friend Tiffiani is happy with her new house!  We went on a beautiful bike ride and I have a sore bottom to prove it!  Then we dyed Easter eggs!  I read about a new way to do it online so we decided to give it a try.  We took some pie plates and spread whip cream in the bottom.  The instructions say to use shaving cream, but then the eggs cannot be eaten, so I substituted whip cream instead. Then we dropped food coloring in various colors onto the whip cream and swirled it around with a toothpick or spoon.  Then we rolled the eggs around and then set them, all covered with colored whip cream to sit for a while.  When we wiped them off, walaa!  Some fun swirly Easter Eggs!  Richard did the last couple and he let his sit for a couple hours.  His were far more deeply colored, so I think next time we will leave them for a few hours and then wipe them off!

The other fun part of using whip cream is that you can eat it when you are done with the eggs.  Here is what THAT looks like...

It was an especially meaningful Easter for me this year.  Richard and I have been taking a New Testament class together and learning so much about our Savior's life and death.  And with my Father passing away, well thoughts and questions about the post mortal life have been on my mind. I will post more about my personal experiences later.  But  I am grateful for the timing that has helped to remind me that we will all be resurrected, as our Savior was. And we will all be perfected.  I am go grateful for this blessed knowledge that I have.
