Jacob is 24!!!

24 years ago Jacob was born! Life with him has been an amazing adventure. I adore my son and am so proud of the man he is. Happy birthday!!!

So Very Tiny

The first photo is what 2 ounces of love looks like! The second photo is 3 ounces of joy! Our two latest and tiniest fosters are orphans at the tender age of 2 to 3 weeks. I am so grateful I chose this home to buy so we have the room to help these little ones who cannot help themselves. Tomorrow we will be getting an older kitten who is sick and will remain quarenteened until he is healthy and strong. I love my life!

Salt Lake City

Well, it was a nightmare getting this trip to the specialist in SLC figured out last minute because the new non emergency transport peeps for Medicaid made a bunch of changes and didn't bother to let me know until two hours after we were supposed to leave. They've had all the info for weeks! Long story, but I made it work, at great expense to myself. We are having a blast though and just look at that view from our room!! Heading to see the doc, then some fun around the city before heading back tonight!

Difficult Goodbye

Had to let go of my sweet little foster, Dibbles, today. He's been so sick, and taking care of him 24/7 has forged a tight bond between us. I cried last night watching him struggle, and I told him he could go, that I would help him and he came up to me and rubbed his tiny face against mine. I was there with him at the end. I think he felt loved. I am grateful for the brief few weeks I had with him, but it wasn't long enough. I am grateful he was able to pass peacefully in my arms.

The oranges, Creamsicle and Julius were neutered on Thursday and are now up for adoption at Snake River Animal Shelter! Miss their playful and loving personalities!

Tough day

Ever been trying so hard to do something and everything is going wrong and you don't know whether to laugh or cry, so you do both? And you know you need help, but you refuse to ask and you'd refuse help if offered, because this is something you really want/need to do by yourself? No, it's just me? My friend told me when something like this happens and it hits me ridiculously hard emotionally, just look at the calendar. Yep, this week is Richard 's birthday. ::sigh:: Please know I'm not complaining, mostly just observing myself out loud! =)

Christmas 2017

No Christmas tree or lights on the house and very few decorations. I struggle with this time of year. I am grateful my sweet children love and support me in whatever it is I am able to put together for them. I feel an amazing peace tonight and am grateful for the encouragement of so many good people in my life. Tomorrow will be a beautiful blessed day and I am so thankful for my many, many blessings! I am also grateful for the birth of my Savior. He is the reason for the season!! Merry Christmas!!

Christmas Fun With Adrienne

We were the ONLY people at the second showing of the Rexburg Christmas light show tonight. Every half hour, people! Good times!! It was pretty short but it was lots of fun!

Highlight of Joseph's Dr Appointments in Salt Lake City

On the way to our hotel we stop at Wheeler Farm. On the way out of town(usually the next day) we stop at Wheeler Farm. It is my children's happy place for sure!

Good News for Joseph!

Today's update on Joseph: he has grown 4 inches since June. His weight is climbing very proportionally. He is doing great with his meds and is still in remission. His doctor is very optimistic that he will remain in remission for another 5 to 6 years. Then we move on to new meds. She challenged Joseph to go into medical research and cure this awful disease!! It was a great appointment!

Tree Of Life

While in Salt Lake for a Joseph Medical appointment, we had a fun night with a dear friend! Thanks Kylynn, for the fun trip to the Tree of Life!!

Fun with Christmas Lists

This is what happens when you don't give mom a complete Christmas wish list!! Sister gets creative and adds: a mustache, and a jar of pickle juice and a single shriveled pickle with a bite taken out of it. But you gotta love that all Joseph could think of was hugs and kinetic sand.
