We went on so many rides! The funny thing is, after spending five glorious days at the two parks, there are still areas we did not fully explore! More to look forward to I suppose! Our favorite ride at Disney's California was Soarin Over California. You feel like you are hang gliding over beautiful fields, rivers and even the Golden Gate Bridge. They even pipe in the smell of pine trees. We went on that ride several times, it was really neat!
This photo has a silly story! We rode on the Ferris wheel in Disney California and they have stationary cars that gently rock back and forth and they have cars that are on slide and they rock and really get to moving when the wheel is going around, especially when you stop at an angle. First we went on the wild one, but it scared Annalina pretty bad when we stopped up high and the car kept swinging wildly and sliding back and forth on its track! We decided to try it again on a stationary car. Joseph was NOT pleased about this and was determined to have a terrible time, but Annalina enjoyed it so much more!Matterhorn madness! I was sure that after riding the Indiana Jones ride and being so scared that the littles would not like the wild roller coast ride. I could not have been more wrong! The Matterhorn became a huge favorite of all the kids!
This ride is the Grizzly River Rapids ride. We got pretty wet, but it was a wild and fun ride! I am very grateful to the gentleman running the ride who asked if he could take our family photo! We have very few of them from this trip!
This is our third trip to Disneyland and the first time we went on the "Its a Small World" ride. We decided to let the kids experience everything and form their own opinions. And amazingly enough, it has changed A LOT since I was a child! It was nice and cool and a slow ride was relaxing after being out in the heat!
Swiss Family Robinson....oops, I just dated myself! This is Tarzan's Treehouse! I was not able to walk well enough to explore this, but the kids took their time and had fun! I love it when they line up in order of size. They do it automatically most of the time! Funny!
Both littles did NOT want to even try the haunted house. The rest of us really wanted to go see what they had done for Halloween! So when they asked where we were headed, Richard craftily told them we were going to Jack's house. And it worked. They went on the ride and actually liked it! The entire ride had been redone in the theme of "The Nightmare Before Christmas", it was really fun! Joseph also did not want to go on Splash Mountain. He refused to go. So Richard asked him if he wanted to go on the log ride instead. Of course he did and he loved it. He kept asking things like "are we riding next to Splash Mountain?" He loved it and it became his favorite ride. We told him it was Splash Mountain and he went around telling everyone who would listen how much he loved that ride!
